THE CHARACTER OF A SPACE BEGINS WITH WHAT ITS DESIGNER IS ABLE TO SEE.

Before I design a space, I try to understand the person who will live in it: what they say, and just as much what remains behind their words. Because when people describe a place to live, they speak not only of their needs but of their habits, their longings, the things they feel close to and, sometimes, desires they have not yet noticed.

For me, design is the process of turning this personal world into an architectural idea.

For more than fourteen years I have worked in interior architecture and design on the relationship between the physical limits of a space and the feeling it awakens in people. A project’s character is shaped not by formal decisions alone, but by the balance its proportions strike, the way its materials relate to one another, how light behaves on its surfaces and the atmosphere all of these create together.

I believe every project should have a language of its own. So rather than repeating a particular aesthetic, I care about bringing out the character that is unique to the space and to the person. Timelessness, for me, is not a style; it is the natural result of considered decisions, the right proportions and a strong sense of the whole.
